Trip to Fiji
- Departure:
- SJC to LAX: 40 minutes
- LAX to NAN, Fiji’s Nadi International Airport: 9 1/2 hours
- • Nadi to Vanua Levu’s Labasa airport: 40 minutes
- Labasa to Koro Sun Resort in Savusavu: 2 1/2 hours by bus
- Return:
- Koro Sun Resort to Labasa: 4 hours by bus via second bus due to blowing up the transmission and diesel motor of first bus on the downhill stretch to the airport. The first bus should have had enough oil since the bus man added 1L of used oil before we ventured out to the mountain passes. Not quite, it turned out.
- Labasa to Nadi: 40 minutes. The plane was also late, so we had no worries about missing out flight...we were also 95 percent of the plane’s passenger list.
- NAN to LAX: 9 hours
- LAX to SJC: 40 minutes
- Door to door travel time for the return: 36 hours
